The school of Arts, University of Ghana, is calling for abstracts to be submitted to the school’s 2023 colloquium on
School of Arts organized the 8th TRansArea Network Annual TANA Meeting with the German Archaeological Institute at Wetlands Conference Hall in University of Ghana on the 24th and 25th of February 2022.
Dr. Emmanuel Ifeanyi Ani delivered a talk titled "Tackling the Monetization of Politics with a Points System"
at the College of Humanities' Inter-College Lecture on the 18th of November 2021.
In November 2021, the Dean of School of Arts, Professor Wazi Apoh, and some administative members of the School visited the various departments to interact and discuss the School's strategic plan with faculty members and staff.
Department of Archaeology and Heritage Studies
A colourful ceremony has been organised to inaugurate a Confucius Institute here at the University of Ghana.
The Confucius Institute will help teach the Chinese language, culture, and philosophy and promote interdependency among nations, especially Ghana and the People’s Republic of China.
The Faculty of Arts of the University of Ghana has organized its 11th Annual Colloquium under the theme, “From Theory to Practice: Insights from the Humanities”.
Professor Ama Ata Aidoo
Delivering the keynote address on the topic, “Clapping with One Hand, or Fundamentally Flawed Management of Post-Colonial African Spaces”, Professor Ama Ata Aidoo, a world-acclaimed novelist, poet, dramatist and critic, used the analogy of clapping with one hand to explain gender disparities especially against women in the area of management in national and other public spaces.
